Eugene, Oregon-based Moonshadow Mobile, Inc. took home the biggest investment of more than $400,000 at the 2015 Willamette Angel Conference presented by the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce, Corvallis Benton County Economic Development Office, and the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce on May 15th.
The final amount will be tallied later, but it is expected to be the largest investment that the group has funded to date, said Dave Hauser, president of the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, one of the founders/partners in the conference. “Often once the company is determined, some WAC investors buy additional shares,” he said. The WAC is taking investments from accredited investors until May 28.
Moonshadow, managed by CEO Eimar Boesjes, is an Internet technology company working on big data visualization and management. Moonshadow’s patented Ephemeris database technology powers “in-the-blink-of-an-eye” fast interactive graphical and geospatial data visualization of big datasets in both online and offline environments using desktop, laptop and mobile devices. Ephemeris is ideal for searching and visualizing big datasets at speeds not previously possible while using fewer servers at lower costs.
“They have a compelling product, exciting market opportunities (and), in the eyes of the LLC investment members, it was an attractive investment opportunity,” said Skip Rung, manager of the investor fund, the Willamette Angel Conference LLC.
